I had been a amateur artist for most of my life... In 2018, aged 70, I was finally persuaded to think about trying to sell my work.

I have worked with graphite and pastel pencils but for the last few years colour pencil/ink is my favoured medium. I like doing lots of details on virtually any subject working mainly from photographs. I much prefer using my own photographs (usually taking several) to experience the subject first hand.

Much of my work is of Guernsey, my favourite holiday destination, and of the New Forest, Hampshire which I live close to.

I started by posting my pictures on social media sites, and entering competitions The good feedback encouraged me to approach a long established, lovely gallery in Guernsey with a few of my pictures of the island. They offered me my own exhibition!..My first.
