I did my schooling at the Bath Art School as it was known in the 1950s, now it is the Bath Academy of Art. I left in 1960 to go out to work.

My love of art was rekindled when I went to the Penlee House Gallery in Penzance and
saw the works of the Newlyn School about 13 years ago.

I always use Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils but I use watercolour and gouache in a picture.
